Camp Sunshine Week 1

Updated: May 27, 2020

I'm so excited to present the first week of our online summer camp! During Week 1, we're going to channel our inner Mad Scientist! We'll use science, art, and cooking to discover how different liquids and compounds mix, react, and change. Here's a breakdown of our activities for the week.

1. MAGIC MILK & MARBLED PAPER

In this easy experiment, we'll mix a few basic kitchen items to see how they react. Then, we'll make some pretty marbled paper that you can display or reuse for other craft projects!

2. GALAXY GOO

Make a beautiful squishy dough that looks like the starry night sky! (Or take it up a notch and make Galaxy Slime! ***If you choose the slime instead, please see the note at the bottom of the shopping list for alternate ingredients needed.)

3. SHAKE IT UP SLUSHIES

Who needs a fancy snow cone machine when you can make it in a bag at home yourself! It only takes five minutes and a little muscle.

4. EASY PEASY BATH BOMBS

Basic kitchen ingredients mix to form a fun powder you can mold into shapes. But that's not all--watch what happens when you drop them in your bathtub!

5. LAVA LAMPS

A recycled bottle, a couple liquids and one magic tablet lead to something mesmerizing!
