Marshmallow Igloo
Updated: Jul 16, 2020

Wouldn't it be fun to live in an ice house? (As long as the sun was shining outside and it was toasty inside!) These cute little igloos are so easy and a great way to use up a bunch of those marshmallows you had to buy this week without giving your kids a total sugar rush. We added some glitter on top to make them look even more like freshly fallen snow!

Supplies:
🔲 paper or foam bowls
🔲 mini marshmallows
🔲 toilet paper rolls
🔲 white glue
🔲 hot glue gun
Optional:
🔲 iridescent or white glitter
To Make:
Begin by cutting the curved bottom off the paper bowl.

Next, take the paper towel roll and cut it in half. Then cut it in half again to make a tunnel entrance to your igloo. Secure the tunnel with hot glue.

To secure the marshmallows, spread a thin layer of white glue a little bit at a time and attach the marshmallows. Begin with the tunnel and work your way up and around the igloo. We used our fingers to spread the glue around an area and make it thin so that it wouldn't take as long to dry. You will have to hold the marshmallows in each section for a short while to get the glue to stick. You may notice the marshmallows start to slide down. Just push them up and hold them in place for a bit longer, and make sure to use less glue. (You can also use hot glue to secure the marshmallows--just be careful!)

Optional:
Once your igloo is complete, you can spread a thin layer of glue (or Mod Podge) over the surface and sprinkle glitter on top to give it some sparkle.

Let your igloo dry overnight and play with it however you'd like!
