Mud Pie
Updated: Jul 16, 2020

I loved making mud pies as a kid. I have vivid memories of making them with my sister at my Granny's house. Icky, squishy, and full of dirt! These mud pies may not be quite the same, but they are still so much fun to make.

Ingredients:
🔲 box of brownie mix and whatever ingredients are listed on the box
🔲 oreo pie crust
🔲 four pack of chocolate pudding
🔲 oreos or other chocolate sandwich cookies
🔲 gummy worms

To make:
Start by making the brownie batter according to the package directions. When ready, pour the brownie batter (mud) into your "dirt" crust.

Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let the pie cool. Take a few whiffs of that fresh baked brownie smell for good measure!

When it's cool to the touch, it's time for more mud and dirt! Put a few oreo cookies in a plastic bag, and use a rolling pin or similar to crush the cookies inside the bag. It's ok to have a few bigger crumbs, but you're going for mostly smaller crumbs that resemble a dirt consistency. We used 6 oreos and removed the filling before crushing them.

From there, spread the pudding over the top of the pie, sprinkle the crumbs on top, and then decorate with gummy worms. Voila! Your mud pie is complete!
